What is good practice of note taking?

  • Write down key points/interesting points (do not try to write everything → waste time)
  • Write down your own ideas (something you agree/disagree or something you do not understand)
  • Allows for doing research after class
  • Use your own method to take notes, e.g. drawing, images, diagrams (good for brainstorm)
  • Audio recording (allows for review after class)
  • Post on PDP to keep all things organise
  • share with others out of the classroom
  • Tags on PDP (clear, easy to find and organised)

Why?

  • digital record can avoid loss of information
